LaDonna Shearer
LaDonna Shearer’s practice areas include estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, conservatorships, guardianships, family law, and civil litigation.
LaDonna has lived in the Grand Junction area since 2009. She grew up in Casper, Wyoming where the wind never stops blowing. LaDonna earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law directly after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.
LaDonna wanted to be an attorney for as long as she can remember. She wanted to advocate for people who couldn’t speak for themselves. When playing Monopoly with her siblings, LaDonna was the one they turned to when there was a dispute about the rules, whether they were official rules or house rules. Even as a child, LaDonna was reading and interpreting “the law,” negotiating, and settling disputes.
After earning her Juris Doctorate, LaDonna moved to Southern Oregon. She practiced law in the Grants Pass and Medford areas for many years before moving back to the Rocky Mountains. LaDonna was in private practice in Grand Junction for years before discovering the amazing group of attorneys and staff who practice law together as a team at Burke, Holguin, & Smith, P.C.
